Do you think this tv is as good or better than the Sony x85j?

  3. eurodudenj on May 2, 2022 at 10:47 pm

Great review, thanks! This really helped highlight to me how good this TV’s performance is with respect to color, black levels, contrast and other key PQ categories.

  7. KenBobCris on May 2, 2022 at 10:51 pm

I purchased a u7g 65 yesterday. It’s on sale right now and was well worth the price. I have a Series X and I was gaming on a 4 series TCL that was just not cutting it at all. The native 120hrz was a huge selling point for me. I tested the TV out with Assassins Creed Valhalla and I am blown away so far.

"pay a little for a professional calibration." @Digital Trends says this all the time but I don’t think they realize what few markets offer that option.

  15. CampingBuddha on May 2, 2022 at 11:05 pm

  16. Savage Minion on May 2, 2022 at 11:05 pm

Hello. I bought the u7g and love it. I upgraded the speed to 1gbps by using the insignia Ethernet to USB 3 cable and it’s blazing fast now. I upgraded my internet to 2.5 but the insignia cable caps at 1gbps and they dont make an upgrade. I bought two off Amazon thing it would just be plug and play like the insignia but didn’t work. What makes the insignia just work? Have you experimented with this?

  17. Pierre Bougie on May 2, 2022 at 11:06 pm

Thanks for the review! Also a massive shoutout to the weight loss achievement you had since that last TCL 6 series review.

    What about hisense Q7G?

  25. André Tavares on May 2, 2022 at 11:13 pm

my biggest reason to not buy Hisense tv is because I’m currently looking for a new tv and here in my countrry I can’t find one with android or google tv. They all come with Hisense proprietary OS, and I refuse to buy that.

  26. alex lanning on May 2, 2022 at 11:13 pm

you get what you pay for

  29. xMysterious1x on May 2, 2022 at 11:18 pm

Just bought the 65" for $600 on Amazon..

  30. Robby Bobby on May 2, 2022 at 11:18 pm

I received this tv today, it’s really bad, blooming, black crush. Did Hisense start using the IPS panel on this U7G 65 inch because it does not look anything close to this review.

  31. samples34 on May 2, 2022 at 11:20 pm

It’s called price gouging! Everyone is doing it. COVID!

  32. turbo torana on May 2, 2022 at 11:22 pm

anything hisense is a pile of shit, they dont last and hisense have the worst after sales and if anything goes wrong with there product they dont want to no and just say it failed due to user.there product is allways cheaper than others but after it fails and you end up buying another known brand it ends up costing twice as much as buying a known brand from the start..steer clear of any of there products you have been warned.

  35. d john on May 2, 2022 at 11:25 pm

£679 in richersounds and 10% off so it’s so £611. good offer

  36. Allen Albritton on May 2, 2022 at 11:26 pm

My 3 year old Hisense is blue. Instead of using white LED backlighting they used cheap blue tint LED and then put cheap light filter caps over top which are apparently breaking down and falling off the light board.

  37. Gorilla Vanilla on May 2, 2022 at 11:28 pm

Not under a $1000 in Canada

  38. Tigers251 on May 2, 2022 at 11:28 pm

    No G-Sync. Wasted!
Also, sucks that their 75-inch U7G uses IPS panels. 😪

  46. Ricardo Diaz on May 2, 2022 at 11:38 pm

My h8g fell apart in less than a year.

  47. BurnsyD 17 on May 2, 2022 at 11:39 pm

Hi Caleb. New to your channel and appreciating the content very much.
Was very interested in this TV until I looked at it on RTINGS. I need 75" for my viewing distance, and according to a update note on their review the 75" is an IPS panel, not a VA. My primary use is with a PS5, in a dark basement gaming room, curious about your thoughts on IPS versus VA in that environment.

  48. Juan Martinez on May 2, 2022 at 11:40 pm

Is anyone else getting motion stutters or is it just my panel? What I mean is that from one second to the next, the image will stutter

  49. mike mcelwain on May 2, 2022 at 11:41 pm

Got ug7 75 inch love it. But has light vertical bars . only seen in blue sky’s

  50. Brian Slade on May 2, 2022 at 11:42 pm

Does anyone have experience using a DLNA media server (from your home cloud) with this? How well does it process movies?
