Decades later, the tables have turned. China’s Haier is now the world’s top major appliance brand. And GE – once a giant in the American consumer appliance market – sold off its appliance business to the Qingdao-based company in 2017.

Today, they’re working together to innovate and incorporate the Internet of Things into their products.

It seems many find it difficult to distinguish between General Electric’s appliance division and General Electric Company.

Haier succeeded because Haier makes a product. GE failed because GE stopped making a product and began to play the short term money churning game imposed by dishonest investors and corporate raiders.

Chinese companies don’t have to hire and promote American women to shield against lawsuits. GE should sell off it’s assets to the Chinese. Maybe then productive short men will get a fair deal.

EPA regulations require all washers be made HE or water savers. The new GE washers have a deep fill option that actually let the washer fill all the way up with water.People who buy them love them.As usual the Chinese cheat and ignore the regulations. We want our good fill all the way up washers back!

GE was mismanaged actually by one man. It needed financial support to stay afloat and here is where this Chinese company comes in because U.S. and Western companies won’t. In time GE will do just fine and kick Chinese investors back to China with some profits of course.
