How To Boost Your Cell Phone Signal Living Off Grid (Vlog #5)

How To Boost Your Cell Phone Signal Living Off Grid (Vlog #5)

I have been living out hear for 10 years now and the cell phone reception has been bad the entire time. I have to stand or lean my head against the window with the phone our go outside so I don’t drop calls. And now that I have a smart phone and plenty of data it would be nice if I can actually use it. Most of the time I’m lucky if I can Bring up my Facebook feed. 1X popping up on the screen means death to the use of my phone for the evening. Sometimes you can turn off the data and back on and get 3G for five more minutes and finish watching the lowest Quality version of the YouTube video. But now I have found a solution. Finally I have cell phone signal coming out my ears. I figured out a way to boost cellphone signal through the roof. YouTube videos play before you even click on them. I haven’t I had to wait for buffering once since I’ve installed the cell phone booster. It was so easy to install. A must have for every off grid homesteader or anyone that just suffers chronic week cell phone signal. Worth every cent I spent on this and now that I have it I’d have payed twice as much knowing how well it works. Even if you only have a hint cellphone signal this will make it like you’re sitting next to a cell tower. No dropped calls ever again. You’ll be able to stream video and even Skype clearly with friends. The WeBoost cell phone signal booster only costs $549 on Amazon and it is awesome. I linked it below for you. It’s like having your own cell phone tower in your backyard !!!

you did not say how much the booster you purchased costs

  2. zonfar on November 1, 2020 at 3:55 pm

Any chance of doing a speed test? I’ve heard you need 2 antennas for good lte boost, but most of these boosters only use one antenna. Boosting lte signal is most important to me, I don’t care about boosting cellular signal for calling.

How To Boost Your Cell Phone Signal Living Off Grid (Vlog #5)… Buy a booster!! Yeah….. sorry man but this video is almost pointless… so what is with the "how to" other than buying a booster and installing it? Maybe "Installing a cell phone booster" would have been a better title? And I must say…. only costs $549… ONLY? Is that cheap to you? And there’s no reason you needed "living off grid" in the title because this doesn’t only apply to people living off the grid… like this is some kind of special video just for them people…. sorry to sound harsh but c’mon man.

  4. randy marsh on November 1, 2020 at 3:57 pm

How do you guys protect that from lightning strikes?

  5. jlzumwalt1 on November 1, 2020 at 3:57 pm

Video would have been far better had you shown what your actual cell signal was and how the booster improved it.

  6. carl hernandez on November 1, 2020 at 3:59 pm

    do you sell shit?

  7. Life Saving Defense on November 1, 2020 at 4:00 pm

Waiting on the cell booster to arrive and going to try a big hughesnet dish…. However For tv increase the smaller rods on your antenna and make different antennas for different directions on the same pole @ 4ft apart … I get 66 channels some from hundreds of miles away.

  8. BeAFamily on November 1, 2020 at 4:02 pm

I am glad that it worked for you, but satellite dishes made to catch from the sky so where you put your antenna is not the center of the signal could be better but you want the dish optimal angle pointed at the tower not the sky and antenna pointing same way!

That needless coil of wire is robbing you of signal, plus those joins need to be taped to insulate them, from snow and water.

    And this is off grid?

  15. my cats on November 1, 2020 at 4:10 pm

Thanks for showing this! I don’t live "off grid" but I live out in the woods & get maybe 1 bar of signal outside (if I stand on the front porch or walk out in the front yard & hold my phone up until it gets signal). There are zero bars inside so if I need to send a text or make a phone call to report my landline being out (it’s been out for a few weeks now), I have to go outside in the rain to try to get signal.
I’ve been hoping to find a solution that didn’t involve putting wires in to the house from the outside, although I’ve done that in the past– tried all sorts of antennas but nothing ever worked.
Can the cord between the two devices be extended & can they be more than 25 feet apart? I’m seriously thinking of mounting part of this on a fence post outside, running some conduit for the wire underground and then running it under the house & up through the floor somewhere. Although, I wonder if there is something smaller & less expensive that would work.

  26. victor castle on November 1, 2020 at 4:20 pm

    Good for you !
What makes me mad is I don’t live off the grid, we don’t get cell service and they won’t give us a booster, but they charge us for a service they don’t deliver !
About the same with our TV /internet service. So far out on the limit kept going down because it was burning up some relay thing, they said. Had to go to satellite . Is expensive and very limited time, on internet.

  33. Mark Gilkey on November 1, 2020 at 4:29 pm

Where are instructions for the tv antenna? Thanks

  34. Matt Moschel on November 1, 2020 at 4:29 pm

All that is really needed is the WiFi card from a laptop (antenna cables) they fit the antenna port inside all smartphones, one problem is either you’ll have to leave the back of the phone open or drill a hole slightly off center to the antenna plug, both leaves device more prone to water damage, a solution to this is to utilize 2 phones one with cell service arranged with antenna cables, dish and hotspot enabled and use the second as the primary used device. Might be easier to make a video but…..

  39. Ché Hunter on November 1, 2020 at 4:35 pm

would this work for wireless internet to try get a 4G towers signal to your house?

  40. Marshall Curtis on November 1, 2020 at 4:35 pm

I live in an underground basement condo in a well populated area. I have a weboost eqo booster, but no roof access, or any other high place I can mount the antenna. I don’t want Wi-Fi nuclear radiation. And I will not tolerate Comcast/Century link billing antics. I know the technology exists for me to get excellent reception in my deadzone condo, but T-Mobile likes to “modernize” their towers (first time when I had METROPCS, and now with T-Mobile). When that happens, run for cover! Because you ain’t going to get no coverage!

So what am I doing right now?Sitting out in the middle of a nuclear high frequency zone parking lot, in order to get good reception,…pending T-Mobile writing a “service ticket“ to try to fix that “modernized“ tower. But the so-called “UNcarrier” does not give a red rats ass. NONE of them do. Therefore, I am not holding my breath!

  41. Brandy Garcia on November 1, 2020 at 4:35 pm

Question for you……,.So do you also have US CELLULAR for your cell phone server? Just curious if a person needs to buy the booster from the actual server they have their cell phone service with? Cause i tried one of those a few years ago but i had bought it from Radio shack and i dont think it was for any paticular phone server but it sure didnt work worth a crap! I paid about 300.00 for it at the time. Our house burnt down now so thats gone too, and now i finally broke down and went back to a land line cause i had to have a working phone! Wish now there was a way to get FASTER internet from my satelite internet! You have any tricks or ideas or know of anythingnthat works for that? Cause it just PLAIN SUCKS!

  42. Josh Gilpin on November 1, 2020 at 4:37 pm

What a jip!! Thanks for telling me the same crap I’ve heard from everybody else.

  43. Alexis Louws on November 1, 2020 at 4:37 pm

  44. Jeffery Rightmire on November 1, 2020 at 4:38 pm

Elevate the external antenna as high as you can. It will work better, and try pointing it in different directions.

  45. Steven Mays on November 1, 2020 at 4:40 pm

Thats not true that wouldnt happen

  46. Stephen Fenson on November 1, 2020 at 4:43 pm

So where is the link so you can get $$ for starting a purchase of a US Cellular product BOOST? Are you STILL out in the OFF GRID type situation in 2019? It has been almost 3 years!!

  47. TJ Jones on November 1, 2020 at 4:43 pm

The *NSA* thanks you for the better more reliable connection.🤣

  48. Danny nuff'said on November 1, 2020 at 4:46 pm

Anyone else find irony in someone with a web channel living "off grid"? If you almost have a cell signal you’re really not that far out…

  49. Morgan Farrell on November 1, 2020 at 4:48 pm

Download a signal strength meter on you phone to test where to put the outdoor antenna.

  50. Johnny Harper on November 1, 2020 at 4:52 pm

Hilarious. Living off the grid is rad! 😃😃😃
