How to Make a Lemon Battery
Hank shows us another SciShow: Experiment! This time he’s tackling what may be the most cliche, well-known and misunderstood experiment of all time: the lemon battery. The take home message in this one is: the electricity is NOT in the lemon. Just that delicious juice.

I remember doing a science experiment on lemon batteries. I don’t know why but I was really interested in it. It is good remembering how to do it!
does a onion battery work? 🤔🔋
Hank is the reason why I love internet :😭😭
it was ok
Where can I get the galvanised nail
Wow, I never thought I’d find you here Hank! I follow you on TikTok 😁
any body pls follow me in roblox user: naeld57
How long will the power last ?
this video is 10x better and funnier at half speed for us morons
Can i use a paper pin and a coin as my terminals instead of a nail and copper?
Why only zinc and copper is used
You speak very fast plz slow down
you can make it out of potatoes too
Say slowly 😒😒😒😒😈
to smart for me to understand (っ °Д °;)っ

if you want to know how to make some of your DIY kinds of stuff yourself, just go to an Avasva . There you’ll find your answers 🙂
When I saw mark rober’s 1000 lemon wall I was pretty much positive it doesn’t matter if you do a million lemons or 10 as the electricity isn’t in the lemon, thank you for confirming this and your explanation was very eloquent. Great video
thanks you
99% theory, 1% practical 🙄
thanks hank ur the best
you know that people also have a reading when using a voltmeter, holding a zinc coted nail and copper? kids get better readings than adults. why? because of the water percentage in the human body, perhaps? this means people could be turned into…batteries. I heard a lot about this in the science circles. it may sound awesome, but it is not, actually. because scientist want to use our heat to create thermo energy. but our body heat is produced by energy our body creates. it is not something without an end. it also implies human hormones…. and our most important organs- the brain, heart and liver.
My daughter is trying to do this but it won’t work. Our voltmeter is only registering .02 volts. We tested everything (voltmeter, wires, copper, zinc)
Any suggestions on why this isn’t working?
Love you vro
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Zinc copper
Lol I’m doing this for my since experiment
me ara upakaranaya galwanomeetarayakda
And wouldn’t your lemon run you peltier.
Uhhh 2020 Guyyys
I remember one dumb blond asking "but, wont this solve the energy crisis?" guess who that blond was?
how many lemons would it take to power 1 walky talky?
What he meant in short is volt cell. Youll learn this in chemistry
Nice video
I am watching after 8 yrs
Help please,in spanish
Fun fact I CAME here after my teacher send us this link for online class
Didn’t understand any thing, very ugly video 🤢👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
Use it for Ironing Clothes
Good
what happens if the lemon tree was still growing? does the battery last longer 🤔🌳🍋
good
"I’ve been thinking. When life gives you lemons? Don’t make lemonade. Make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don’t want your damn lemons! What am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life’s manager! Make life rue the day it thought is could give me lemons! Do you know who I am? I’m the man who’s going to burn your house down! With the lemons! I’m going to get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!"

I think the electrons moves from negetive terminal to positive terminal but you said that ones that needs more electrons is called chatode and the one that gives up electrons is called anode how ?
