so are the mid range frequencies playing on the sub or is the LPF working to prevent mid range frequencies from playing on the sub ??? also are you even able to crank that on full volume with that small power supply
Man I’m a real Bass junkie,Bout to do this real soon,I got a 3000w taramps class Damp, I wanna hook em up to( 2) very old 12"in Audiobahn q flames in a probox, I figured I use them as house speakers since there laying around or until I can find a good deal on some dj pa /subwoofers ,I looked into house systems …man for the prices iv seen I decided to just build my own,comes out way less n with better sound.. thanks for tha video bro, helps with what I’m tryn 2 do….. 😎
But your not running a system how you know it will hold up to real power
There are several things that you should have done. First between your power supply and amp power you should have put a 12v capacitor of a fairly large capacity so you are not putting so much strain on the power supply when the base hits ( will make the power supply last much longer). Second is that the power supply you have chosen is really under powered for the application you have it in that power supply is a 30 amp 12 volt meaning at its max it is capable of putting out 360 watts it may be expensive but its definitely a good idea for a much more powerful supply.

How do you ground car amplifier
I should have a 2x 2-ohm subwoofer but for some reason when wired in parallel it shows 2 ohms, I have Edge edb15d2x E7 (1100W RMS) and vibe powerbox 1000W RMS on 1 ohm (500W RMS since 2 ohms for some reason), and its running on 750W computer PSU, but my PSU keeps dying after reaching 100W. If anyone knows what I could be doing wrong let me know

Your nuteral and live wires are in the wroung place by the way the supply is not wired correctly
with 30 amps u end up with about 300 watts to the speaker.

So the wiring to the house outlet is wrong in this, the BLACK wire is the hot wire or live as you called it, white is always the neutral. Since it is marked that way in your power supply I’m guess it is polarity sensitive. You might want to change it before you burn that power supply up.
what if i use a stronger Power Supply with more Watts and Voltage will it improve the sound or burn my house down ?

You’re doing it bro we’re spectating, However, most are correct.. AC black is always "hot" (110-120v) and white is always neutral.. 2) splitting larger gauges like 1/0-4ga etc.. is not recommended due to parasitic arching and fire risk.. you can make or buy crimp on fittings and jumpers for the other lugs fairly cheap and plus give it a cleaner look and more stable load transfer. Everyone else has good input as well. Keep it up! We learn daily and improve with every new build.. and respect for sharing your journey to success.

This says it’s 2 ohm 5000 watt but had two 30 amp fuses? I have a 1000 watt amp that’s 2 ohm with 2 30 amp fuses?
30 amps FOR 5000 watts isnt that less!
This is how you run a car amp in home. A $20 converter from ebay is putting out 40 amps vs a 500 watt PC power supply is usually only putting out 18 amps on the 12v rail. Most car amps are going to want at least 30 amps of power. So skip the cheap PC power supply method and just get a 110 to 12v converter. I got a 40 amp 480 watt 12v converter off ebay for $24.99 free shipping.
Is the psu still working? I was using a PC psu to power my 300w rms amp and after about 6 months the voltage from the psu dropped to 11v and drops even further when the bass hits.

If u don’t mind i have 3 questions since i want to fix a home hi-fi like this but i am an amateur on electronics:
1) how do i recognise which is the live ground and neutral wires to go to the wall plug so to connect them on the power supply accordingly?
2) does the power supply need to meet the same amperage as the amplifier fuse? is it ok if i buy a power supply with little less amperage than the amplifier fuse?
3)on a short search to buy 12V power supply bricks, in most cases they include watts in the equation. Should the watts of the power supply meet the amplifier’s specs on the power output in watts? e.g. my pioneer GM amplifier is 4×80 watt @ 4ohm so, what power supply is ok for me to buy?
you missed to mention the 12V dc power supply to set first on desired voltage using multimeter before plugging in..
"Monster amp" on a good day 500 watts if it was powered at full tilt, which it isn’t. Will also kill both faster due to under powering.

Thoes car amps are ment to run best at 14.4 to 15 volts you should adjust the little orange screw next to the green led and raise the voltage to 14.4v by turning it clock wise also at 30 amps that thing is probaly pusing out 250 watts per chanel tops
