  3. Pete Baizley on March 17, 2022 at 2:16 pm

He didn’t demonstrate the amplifier actually drawing any real power. He was playing music with the bass turned all the way down

  4. matusimiu on March 17, 2022 at 2:17 pm

It has a 220-110v on the side ,how do i know if that switch is on 110 or 220

  5. matt m on March 17, 2022 at 2:17 pm

jesus christ iv never seen such a gathering of idiots as i have just seen now in this comment section ,aside from 1 or 2 people who actually grasp the concept and know what they are talking about

How do you wire a amp that has one on both sides it is an Orion 5000w

  7. haleena rodriguez on March 17, 2022 at 2:17 pm

? could you hookup four car amps to 24 power supply if you or someone would know it would be appreciated t y so much

  8. Infrasonic Rebasses on March 17, 2022 at 2:18 pm

so are the mid range frequencies playing on the sub or is the LPF working to prevent mid range frequencies from playing on the sub ??? also are you even able to crank that on full volume with that small power supply

  9. Course Reaction on March 17, 2022 at 2:20 pm

Man I’m a real Bass junkie,Bout to do this real soon,I got a 3000w taramps class Damp, I wanna hook em up to( 2) very old 12"in Audiobahn q flames in a probox, I figured I use them as house speakers since there laying around or until I can find a good deal on some dj pa /subwoofers ,I looked into house systems …man for the prices iv seen I decided to just build my own, comes out way less n with better sound.. thanks for tha video bro, helps with what I’m tryn 2 do….. 😎

But your not running a system how you know it will hold up to real power

  11. jonathan nonya on March 17, 2022 at 2:22 pm

There are several things that you should have done. First between your power supply and amp power you should have put a 12v capacitor of a fairly large capacity so you are not putting so much strain on the power supply when the base hits ( will make the power supply last much longer). Second is that the power supply you have chosen is really under powered for the application you have it in that power supply is a 30 amp 12 volt meaning at its max it is capable of putting out 360 watts it may be expensive but its definitely a good idea for a much more powerful supply.

  12. Alloy30 on March 17, 2022 at 2:25 pm

i have done that but when i turn my sub volume up my amp goes into protect

  13. Manish Kumar on March 17, 2022 at 2:26 pm

How do you ground car amplifier

  14. Fan Comments on March 17, 2022 at 2:26 pm

I should have a 2x 2-ohm subwoofer but for some reason when wired in parallel it shows 2 ohms, I have Edge edb15d2x E7 (1100W RMS) and vibe powerbox 1000W RMS on 1 ohm (500W RMS since 2 ohms for some reason), and its running on 750W computer PSU, but my PSU keeps dying after reaching 100W. If anyone knows what I could be doing wrong let me know

  15. Keith Banner on March 17, 2022 at 2:29 pm

Hello Sir. Just want to point out in case you haven’t realized that the black wire is Live and white is Neutral. Green is Ground. Peace DaddyNature

  16. jordan s on March 17, 2022 at 2:29 pm

Your nuteral and live wires are in the wroung place by the way the supply is not wired correctly

  17. Charles Hendrick on March 17, 2022 at 2:35 pm

with 30 amps u end up with about 300 watts to the speaker.

  18. J ConMar on March 17, 2022 at 2:36 pm

how did you convert the rca into the apple connector? i dumb but smart

  19. iKISIIN on March 17, 2022 at 2:37 pm

So the wiring to the house outlet is wrong in this, the BLACK wire is the hot wire or live as you called it, white is always the neutral. Since it is marked that way in your power supply I’m guess it is polarity sensitive. You might want to change it before you burn that power supply up.

  20. Orochi Mishima on March 17, 2022 at 2:37 pm

what if i use a stronger Power Supply with more Watts and Voltage will it improve the sound or burn my house down ?
Another question, will 1 power supply be able to power 2 amps ? or i’m gonna need 1 for each ? thnx

  21. MSree J on March 17, 2022 at 2:39 pm

Bro.. I use 24 amp 12v psu for my sony n1004 amp..Psu switching off when bass hits high

  22. Joey Amador on March 17, 2022 at 2:39 pm

You’re doing it bro we’re spectating, However, most are correct.. AC black is always "hot" (110-120v) and white is always neutral.. 2) splitting larger gauges like 1/0-4ga etc.. is not recommended due to parasitic arching and fire risk.. you can make or buy crimp on fittings and jumpers for the other lugs fairly cheap and plus give it a cleaner look and more stable load transfer. Everyone else has good input as well. Keep it up! We learn daily and improve with every new build.. and respect for sharing your journey to success.

are those 30 amp fuses? or 15 amp fuses that add to 30?

    This says it’s 2 ohm 5000 watt but had two 30 amp fuses? I have a 1000 watt amp that’s 2 ohm with 2 30 amp fuses?

  29. Hurr H. on March 17, 2022 at 2:47 pm

30 amps FOR 5000 watts isnt that less!

  30. J Wohl on March 17, 2022 at 2:48 pm

This is how you run a car amp in home. A $20 converter from ebay is putting out 40 amps vs a 500 watt PC power supply is usually only putting out 18 amps on the 12v rail. Most car amps are going to want at least 30 amps of power. So skip the cheap PC power supply method and just get a 110 to 12v converter. I got a 40 amp 480 watt 12v converter off ebay for $24.99 free shipping.

  31. aneesh s on March 17, 2022 at 2:50 pm

Is the psu still working? I was using a PC psu to power my 300w rms amp and after about 6 months the voltage from the psu dropped to 11v and drops even further when the bass hits.

Do this power supply need any capacitor or fuse

  34. WhoDey Nation on March 17, 2022 at 2:53 pm

    Black neutral lol

  35. David Lynch on March 17, 2022 at 2:54 pm

    That’s 60amps of fusing not 30. They’re both live. One isn’t a spare

  36. ΙΩΑΝΝΗΣ ΓΟΥΖΟΥΑΣΗΣ on March 17, 2022 at 2:54 pm

    Hi Firealarm203 great video tnx.
If u don’t mind i have 3 questions since i want to fix a home hi-fi like this but i am an amateur on electronics:
    1) how do i recognise which is the live ground and neutral wires to go to the wall plug so to connect them on the power supply accordingly?
    2) does the power supply need to meet the same amperage as the amplifier fuse? is it ok if i buy a power supply with little less amperage than the amplifier fuse?
3)on a short search to buy 12V power supply bricks, in most cases they include watts in the equation. Should the watts of the power supply meet the amplifier’s specs on the power output in watts? e.g. my pioneer GM amplifier is 4×80 watt @ 4ohm so, what power supply is ok for me to buy?

  37. Lord Howell Pulangco on March 17, 2022 at 2:57 pm

you missed to mention the 12V dc power supply to set first on desired voltage using multimeter before plugging in..

  38. Rado McRado on March 17, 2022 at 2:57 pm

"Monster amp" on a good day 500 watts if it was powered at full tilt, which it isn’t. Will also kill both faster due to under powering.

  39. Watch Me on March 17, 2022 at 2:57 pm

How are you getting the highs?

  40. Sam Harley on March 17, 2022 at 2:57 pm

can these car amp’s be used from a home receiver output?

  41. Manish Kumar on March 17, 2022 at 3:01 pm

My power cable don’t have ground wire in it is it necessary to connect ground wire too for powering amp

  42. TFAY on March 17, 2022 at 3:05 pm

Thoes car amps are ment to run best at 14.4 to 15 volts you should adjust the little orange screw next to the green led and raise the voltage to 14.4v by turning it clock wise also at 30 amps that thing is probaly pusing out 250 watts per chanel tops

  43. Johanly alvarado on March 17, 2022 at 3:06 pm
