The mere $100 savings isn’t worth the headache you could possibly get from buying a used device. Yes its been inspected but at the end of the day it’s still a used device.
Apple gave me a refurbished device under apple.care replacement, I got a new phone about a year later and let the iPhone sit for 2 weeks and the screen actually unstuck from the shell and started to creak everytime you pressed on the bottom.

to everyone thinking "oh that’s still super expensive" well the price has dropped now its around 466-480 and the reviews are pretty glowing (although there is a lot giving 1 star reviews for just not having headphones or a charger so read through reviews not just the percentages) there are about 3,500 reviews as of now and 1732 3-5 star reviews (just in the US) i read through most the 4 and 3 star reviews and most said "phone worked 100% but no charger or headphones" so if you are a previous apple user and already have a lightning charger i dont see any issues! ALSO as of now there are 77% 5 star reviews 9% 4 star reviews 3% 3 star reviews 2% 2 star reviews and 8% 1 star reviews but keep in mind a lot of these bad reviews are due to no headphones included (which is kinda dumb cause i can get a pair for like three dollars at a gas station). Hope this is helpful to you! And i have not personally bought the product YET but i will be soon and will reply to this comment when i get it (i may forget to though so ya lol) please look at reviews also and not just percentages! Hope you are happy with your purchase if you get the phone!!

I got iPhone XR 128gb Verizon manufacture refurbished 100% battery and like new with plastic on it for 379$… with all brand new charger, cable ad headphones and paperwork… but I’ve yet to put my sim in it.. had a screen protector mishap where I was sent the wrong ones and now I’m on the fence if I should get the xs 256gb from the same seller for 445+tax or if I should get a note 10+ or s10 plus or s10 5g… the xr is amazing but wish it had item portrait mode instead of only people and I wish it had a night mode or a wide angle lens or telephoto… the xs has more storage and better screen but .3” smaller screen which stinks… xs max is way to much money … i could sell this like new iPhone XR for 450$ easy .. as I have a brand new presidio speck case also and glass screen protectors coming for it … so co fused .. coming from an lg g7 which has an incredible 1440p+ lcd panel the best ever made over 560 pixels per inch and amazing colors and also has dual cameras and night mode ..etc.. so it’s hard to go to a single camera setup and way less pixel rich display although the xr screen is pretty darn nice
