I got into PC-98 and PC-88 a while back, because it has this weird catalog of really nice-looking Japan only games. I suppose they called it PC-98 because it’s 98% pornographic adventure games (So, the PlayStation Vita of it’s time). Developers were clearly ambitious and wanted to make original, interesting stories, but it was the "Well, it GOTTA have some sexy stuff in there or it won’t sell" mentality that was interesting to see. It speaks to the quality of Hideo Kojima that Snatcher was so successful, despite on being relatively light on sexy stuff.
Messing around with some old FM-7 games, a bit of Sharp MZ-700 stuff, and other games that probably aren’t worth remembering.
