I would never use AT&T. Not for phone service, not for Internet. No thing. They are scammers!
these 3rd party sellers always present like they work for the carrier! this been going on forever they should start getting charged!

Same thing happened to me by an AT&T home specialist. I was promised a good deal, but I did not get it. After 6 months of back and forth, I was muted and when I get to the end of paying for phones I never needed, nor did I inquire about, I will switch back to my former carrier, T-Mobile.
The target by me always has latina calientes working that scam, I feel sorry for all those young people they’re just used pawns

You know what i say when i get stopped in a store and asked who is my cell/internet/cable provider? NONE OF YOUR DAMN BUSINESS. You are not obligated to talk to those people.

At Walmart 3rd party. Went in to buy a phone. No talk about a new provider. Got home to find out to find out I was in a 2 year contract with US Cellular. I never signed anything. The sales person Cory signed for me without my knowledge. US Cellular was somewhat helpful. I did lose the promotional package I had with my actual provider. This 3rd party Company out of Canada encourages the fraud.
Good to know target allows scammers to run scams in their stores.
I was scammed for a Free phone line and free data service for loyalty customer through AT&T. I already had three lines. I specifically questioned them that the offer was too good to be true that there was no way they are giving me a free phone AND FREE data plan for the 4th line. After confirming for about 30 minutes, I decided to take the offer, thinking if they did charge me I would return for refund. Sure enough they charged me and when I addressed they specifically told me there would be no charge, I wanted to return the phone and wanted a refund. They told me they would have to charge me for the full phone charge if I returned it. I reported them to BBB, and long story short with a many many phone calls back and forth, I finally received my refund. So don’t fall for loyalty customer free offer.
I won’t sign with Att even if the ceo of the company offers me free service for a year.

These people are at walmart all the time but they try to get you to switch your internet providers. I usually just look at their shirt and when they ask who is my provider i say "you guys". Works all the time.
This story is a hit piece against small business. These reporters are Ill informed with their assessment. The salesman may have done wrong but it is extremely irresponsible of this station to tell people to cut out the small businesses.
1:05. I’m a T-mobile customer with 5 lines and unlimited data on a monthly bill of $120. How does anyone able to save this family of 2 $300 a month. I guess they’re paying more than $300 for family of 2, I guess that’s a hint why they would fall for the scam and other scams in the future? lol.

So…they sign up for a deal that would save them $300 a month but first they have to spend $400 in taxes to get the whole thing started?
What’s blowing my mind is that their bill was more than $300. for the guy to be able to save them $300. I have AT&T unlimited with 3 phones and it’s only $178 after tax. He sold them two phones so the most they would have been paying on the old plan would be $150.
