Is this replacing the 27" iMac?

  2. CF Win on April 26, 2022 at 5:21 am

It’s for rich nerds who can afford them.

  3. London lemming on April 26, 2022 at 5:23 am

F*** why does no one do a review on how the studio display look when gaming

  4. Jajabor Music on April 26, 2022 at 5:23 am

1:07 which model of MBP is this ?

  5. Mammoth Scott on April 26, 2022 at 5:25 am

I’m wondering if there is an advantage to MAX for running CAD software?

  6. dhwang101 on April 26, 2022 at 5:26 am

With all these computing powers I wonder why they’re not sentient yet? 😉

  7. Zeus Legion on April 26, 2022 at 5:26 am

    "… for some reason…"
The ports on the front are Thunderbolt for the M1 Ultra because it has twice as many controllers as the M1 Max.

  8. Analogue Cat 3345 on April 26, 2022 at 5:29 am

Why the headphone port on the back though.

  9. Cuzzin Coo on April 26, 2022 at 5:31 am

Can I get mine without the box? $50, a penny saved is a penny earned 😆

  10. Zeus Legion on April 26, 2022 at 5:32 am

Any display that isn’t at least 120hz is a non-starter in 2022. Especially if it costs $1600.

  11. Ottoman Taiga on April 26, 2022 at 5:32 am

Abit of an overkill for the display, could have made it smarter

  12. Troupe Goal on April 26, 2022 at 5:34 am

how many of these ‘creatives’ are there, really? Aspiring podcast and music producers?

  13. Chris on April 26, 2022 at 5:35 am

It’s just Apple’s new way to get more money from creators. It’s no more special than an iMac pro… The only things that are a benefit here to Apple is more ka ching and solving the right to repair or upgrade 🤗

  14. Jeremy F on April 26, 2022 at 5:35 am

The Pro Display XDR doesn’t require the $999 stand. You can get the VESA adapter for $199 and a generic single monitor stand that works with the VESA size standard.

  15. Kevin Collins on April 26, 2022 at 5:35 am

Word is that that A13 in the studio display is running a full version of iOS. ASSuming that’s true – why wouldn’t Center Stage work on Windows? Nothing needs to happen on the Windows side, the monitor does it all.

Just saw Breakdown of a Base Mac Studio on Max Tech’s channel….looks like there may be an empty SSD connector….

  17. John Carson on April 26, 2022 at 5:36 am

$200 for the keyboard and I bet it still isn’t backlit like the Logitech MX

  18. As_i_c_it on April 26, 2022 at 5:38 am

You didn’t test the m1 ultra??????? THAT’S WHAT THE H3LL we came here for!!!!

  19. mrparts on April 26, 2022 at 5:38 am

The reality is for most professional users. 90+% of the time the computer is basically idle. Most billing hours are spent thinking, reviewing and planning. The time is spent mostly on tasks that do not saturate the cores in any meaningful way for M1 pro/max/ultra That’s why spending so much money on the highest top of the line makes little sense for most people. The m1 ultra may be on paper twice fast as the max., but that doesn’t mean that your productivity is going to double. I find it funny to see people spending $6K+ on machine like thus just to edit basic very simple YouTube videos and then say they’re so productive because they saved 10 seconds exporting a file.

  20. choppergirl on April 26, 2022 at 5:41 am

The 68K macs were the best.
Everything since then has been crrrrppp….!

  21. Alperic27 on April 26, 2022 at 5:41 am

Your ‘review’ sucks… you conveniently gloss over the deplorable camera quality on the display… or the fact that the stand is too low for most users, yet with no support for raising it (it is even visible in your vid that this screen is too low for you too) ….

  22. Taurean Smoke on April 26, 2022 at 5:42 am

This is just more overpriced mediocrity from Apple!

  23. SABlister on April 26, 2022 at 5:42 am

1500 dollars isn’t reasonable, you can get a professional color graded 4k, 60hz monitor for 400 dollars

  24. Music Theory 4u on April 26, 2022 at 5:43 am

I don’t understand why the bazels has to be bigger on the Studio Display than on the 32” model. Why not make them similar?

  25. Taurean Smoke on April 26, 2022 at 5:44 am

I don’t know how people keep saying Apple has good video quality like all their cameras are so bad! Especially on their computers! Between the bad colors the choppiness of the video and the actual pretty bad HDR anybody saying Apple cameras r the best you’re just a fan boy you only care about the Apple logo not the quality of the photos or videos!

  26. David Michael on April 26, 2022 at 5:45 am

When I bought my laptop, nearly everyone geared me towards the M1 Pro. "What do you do that needs a Max?" was asked by Apple sales. I bought the Max anyways to push some games. Now that we have this Studio, people are pushing the Ultra. I think the Max is still the sweet spot. Do I want an Ultra? Absolutely. Should I? Probably not. I already have a 43" 144 G-Sync hooked to a 3090 gaming PC. So 27" will look like an Ant, but yet, a great upgrade from looking at 16".

  27. david lf on April 26, 2022 at 5:48 am

    What a buffoon!
Yiu didn’t test the ultra version of the product.
Which is the only version holds the value proposition fir the Studio.
Haven’t watched a CNET review in years cuz … now I remember why I stopped watching.
Cuz cnet just can’t get the story right even when it’s staring then right in the face.

I don’t care how fast this Mac studio is i still like my 2019 Mac Pro with Apple Pro Display XDR it does everything, you can’t upgrade anything in Mac Studio

  30. Jerry Fornarotto on April 26, 2022 at 5:52 am

Do you recommend Studio Display for a photographer. I do not shoot video.

  31. Jonathan Gomes on April 26, 2022 at 5:52 am

Did you really call front IO an innovation? Something thats been available on computers for over 30 years?

  32. Bafana Nkomo on April 26, 2022 at 5:55 am

When you stack the mini on the studio it looks good as a single product.

  33. Дима Рафиков on April 26, 2022 at 5:57 am

    Studio Display is Telescreen

  34. Videomedia Television on April 26, 2022 at 5:58 am

They didnt include the 3d artist and producers in the creative class.

  35. Johnny Boy Soprano on April 26, 2022 at 5:58 am

Your video was overlayed with a "StorMagic" add at bottom that was malformed and if you clicked on X to close, it actually launched link to the web page. Shame on YouTube for taking away from your content!!!!!

  36. Jackson Smith on April 26, 2022 at 6:00 am

The average person is going to want this……but it’s so overpowered that the average person wouldn’t even be able to take full advantage of it lol. But then again, people always want what they don’t need 😂😆

  37. Gardner Underhill on April 26, 2022 at 6:01 am

This is the same expansion limitations as a laptop. Both Mac and PC laptops have this limitation. I worked years several at small custom coding/computer retailer in Tennessee. We offered both stock and custom build PCs. As I recall once a customer purchased their PC, they almost never upgraded. They would get external hard drives, maybe a new monitor. Generally four to five years later, they would get a whole new system. Getting a system that you can upgrade yourself isn’t as big a draw as you might think. Of course, that is just my experience, your experience could well be different.

  38. John Miller on April 26, 2022 at 6:03 am

By maintaining the Mac Mini footprint, Apple keeps the door open for a future model with optical drive.😉 I would have liked a cube format for the Studio, but maybe that’ll be for the Pro?

  39. Derrick Barlow on April 26, 2022 at 6:04 am

Can you compare the studio with the mini? What’s the difference? I’m looking at the specifications, but performance wise I’m not seeing any comparisons. Film major. Thanks for this. I always thought the Mac Mini was supposed to be a stack and so people can stack upgrades beneath the Mac Mini. I’m 3 minutes into the video. Please excuse me. I’ll watch the rest.

  40. Sephsekla on April 26, 2022 at 6:04 am

The fact that Apple is choosing to put all the controls for their monitors on MacOS rather than sticking buttons on the monitors is some inexcusable walled garden behaviour. How convenient that their monitors are built to be barely functional on Windows or Linux.

  41. Mpanga lawanski on April 26, 2022 at 6:04 am

A lot of products from apple are the same with different names my opinion.

  42. D Jones on April 26, 2022 at 6:05 am

The Macbook pro is an all in one system? The studio is meant to be connected to a separate display, separate mouse … Great reporting, keep up the groundbreaking work

  43. Vance kang on April 26, 2022 at 6:05 am

Apu systems are not meant to be upgradable … Ram is also more than enough so there is no need to upgrade … Storage can be added externally

  44. PJP on April 26, 2022 at 6:08 am

I am hoping that the chip in the display will help with a more serious color calibration of the display for professional photo editing and printing

  45. John Kellett on April 26, 2022 at 6:10 am

The Mac Studio would be ideal for my use as an architect (more creative than most ‘creatives’). I think and design in 3D, so I need a computer capable of running the best BIM software (Vectorworks and/or ArchiCAD rather than the popular Revit). The graphics power ‘on chip’ is plenty and Vectorworks can use the multi-core computing, which many CAD and BIM softwares do not. The Studio should also be more than coping with all the AR and VR the profession is using.

  46. Michael Ogulnick on April 26, 2022 at 6:10 am

Does anyone else have issues with a high
pitched whistling noise coming out the back of the Max Studio? It’s driving me crazy and I don’t know what to do. It happens even when there’s basically no programs running.

  47. impulseMusic on April 26, 2022 at 6:14 am

    it can be open

  48. James Fiegel on April 26, 2022 at 6:17 am

I saw a CAD program being used by yourself…that is what I want a demo of ….most Apple Salesmen Videos on this forum is all about video or photography…I WANT TO KNOW IF STUDIO MAX COULD BE A GOOD CAD ENGINEERING MACHINE !!!

  49. Inwe David on April 26, 2022 at 6:17 am

Also the Mac has only HDMI 2.0 and is not able to go deeper that 60HZ, the screen is good but it is just 3 time the price of other high end screen (HDR, promotion compatible or calibrated), more cheat but quite similar screen exist at a fraction of the cost. It is still far beyon competition but it is branded so people will buy it.

You lost me with those rolled up sleeves. The whole time I was trying to listen to you, I was dodging and weaving your karate chopping sleeves.
