I watched this documentary last night and haven’t stopped thinking about it since. It’s truly an extraordinary film. The story telling and footage are phenomenal. As an Italian, Octopus is a common food. I will never be able to eat Octopus again.

Great doc. A lot of life lessons can be learned from watching this. Living in the wild/nature – being a part on the natural world, not outside of it – strategy, deception, friendship, relationships, intelligence, wits, thinking fast, life and death. It has it all. Inspired me to want to take cold showers now. Lol!

I cried my heart out from beginning to end. This is such a bittersweet story, and animals are so delicate and can teach us so much by simply living their life… A beautiful, beautiful story. 💕💕💕

Superbe documentaire qui change notre vision du monde sous-marin, du rapport sensitif de l’homme à la nature, de l’homme à lui-même, de ce superbe animal aux neuf cerveaux. Merci à Craig et à Pippa.

You did something.. Dedicated patience and understanding. You brought documentary into a new spectrum. Well done and thank you for a special moment you shared with us. It teaches us all that everything is special if we make time to invest in it.

    Such a beautiful film 😢💙

  13. wrllovemen on September 14, 2020 at 10:17 pm

I hope this isn’t a story about a man making the octopus so comfortable that it becomes prey to sharks. You could have had a octopus at an aquarium to learn from.

He now wants to become a transgender octopus.

Sooooo…guy has mental breakdown and befriends a fish. Got it. I suppose it’s better than the pedophile propaganda they are pushing on other videos. So there is that.

  25. MightyLowTide on September 14, 2020 at 10:32 pm

So stunningly beautiful… so touching and emotional…I cried with joy and pain and totally fell in love with this sensitive, lovely creature ❤

  26. Karen Skinner on September 14, 2020 at 10:34 pm

Getting ready to watch this amazing film. The animals and creatures that share this planet with us have much more going on in their brains then originally thought. They love, feel joy. sadness, pain… so much like us, but not as destructive. This film will have me in tears, I can tell just from the trailer. This is a feel good, happy, sad, amazing, awe inspiring film.

This is the BEST documentary I have seen in years. It made me cry so much. Absolutely amazing, such a beautiful documentary. It has truly shown me how intelligent octopus and other marine creatures are… We MUST work together to protect them. We have to do everything in our power together to spread awareness about climate change, before its too late. Or else…the UN will be right, and we will see fishless oceans in the year 2050. (If they die, we die, the oceans store a lot of CO2, and with dead fish, corals are dead, all of the CO2 will be released into the atmosphere DIRECTLY affecting us). You might think you’re just one person, but you have power. Me (being someone you don’t know) is giving you (whoever reads this) my promise that I will do everything in my power to reduce my carbon footprint alongside raise awareness about climate change and what we can do to help the oceans. We can spread awareness through conversations with people, posting about it on social media, attending protests, making events, giving speeches to the public, the possibilities are endless. But not doing anything will ruin us. Do something. Anything. I’m writing this because hopefully you’ll be someone who will watch a documentary like this, and use it to motivate you to help change the world. Don’t just be like most people who forget about this documentary in a couple of days, be the person who consistently wants to create change to help the world. — I believe in you.

  35. NeonShow on September 14, 2020 at 10:43 pm

It was really upsetting to see that he didn’t do anything to help the octopus in certain parts of the documentary. He said he didn’t want to disturb the ecosystem, but he befriended the octopus. We’re all part of the ecosystem, yet we still help each other. I hope this experience will help him become more compassionate with life.

Great documentary… Some friend you are GUY!Could’ve saved her from getting an arm bit off by a shark but didn’t! I understand not wanting to get in the way of nature and all but that was your buddy! Actually at one point I thought this relationship was taking an entirely different direction 😂 Protect her young from the sharks dude!
