Neurodiversity Training & Hiring Program Comes to Dell Technologies in Round Rock

The Arc’s Autism Assets @ Work

The Arc of the Capital Area is partnering with the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC), Neurodiversity in the Workplace, and Dell Technologies to launch an inaugural Central Texas training initiative designed to bring training and opportunities to people with Autism. The Arc’s Autism Assets @ Work utilizes proven methodology successfully implemented by large technology companies including Dell, Microsoft, and SAP to identify neurodiverse talent.

ABOUT THE ARC’S AUTISM ASSESTS @ WORK
Participants selected for the program will attend two-weeks of classroom-based instruction on social communication, focus and concentration, collaboration etiquette, executive functioning, self-advocacy, managing emotions, and more. They will also participate in a number of team projects guided and facilitated by The Arc of the Capital Area and Dell staff culminating in a
presentation of their work to staff and executives from Dell and a network of additional potential employers. At the conclusion of the training, Dell hiring managers will make offers to the applicants they select for a 90-day, paid internship. Internships may lead to full-time employment. Autism Assets @ Work is a skills-building, network-building, resume-boosting work readiness program.
