The dad is honest about his feelings and knows what he would probably do and I commend him for his honesty. Therefore I pray that justice is done for this family and the ofc.
The middle and upper classes love the police because they’re there to protect them from the lower class. When this middle-class individual was slammed to the floor just to see see her teeth knocked out and facing a host of criminal charges that would lead to zero employment for life at the hands of a deranged policeman there was more than violations of expections felt. If she was African-American from the ‘hood there would be no TV news reports and reporter sitting in her parents living room.
What, a girl 8 inches smaller and 50 pounds lighter posed a risk to him? Her crime was being a female that dared to talk back to PALERMO. Obviously a psychiatric case of female hater. I am a Republican, but my advice to the Democrats is to stop making police abuse a minority issue and show it for the bad thing it is to everybody. Yes, it happens to blacks more when people don’t ever care assuming they most be guilty of something. But it does happen to all races. Even to an elderly guy from India if you research it. How is that these cowards see a ‘threat’ in a small lady, an 80 year man, a tiny kid a retarded man sitting on the pavement. Please, I am sure many suspects call on a beating when they resist being detained, but that is NOT what I am talking about. I am talking about the displays of force used against human beings completely uncalled for.
It will be a great day when police kill or beat some white fellow that was not doing anything wrong and Black Lives Matter shows up to protest in support of that person regardless of his color.
That day more people will understand the words from Martin Luther King: “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly."
This police commander is not telling the truth. The ONLY reason he ordered the investigation is due to the video which contained strong evidence of the assault. Defend the police now and switch to neighborhood watch programs. Fire the commander now!!!
Palermo deserves to be arrested, charged, convicted and just before he goes to jail be put in a room with the young ladies father for about 5 minutes. Then justice would be served.
