Anyone who thinks that Elegoo documentation is good is smoking something. I got their 2560 and the PDF has so many spelling errors, wiring diagram errors and flatout formatting errors that it should barely qualify as documentation.
A bunch of strong contenders this year.
I think the grove beginner Kit is good enough for my students.. 🙂
The kit that won 1st place…do they make any other kits that are automotive related ?
This is true that the best way to learn Arduino is to start from scratch and with a kit that provides the basic instructions. My kid uses Moonshot Jr’s Embedded Learner Kit as a part of his online learning. That proved to be a perfect choice for him but still I will exploring these 5 options for my daughter.
Elegoo is the kit my school provided us with. I’d like to support Arduino, but an Uno is the same price as a whole kit.

This is amazing, I have always wanted to get going with arduino, and just need to bridge the gap of knowing class 3 solder technique, with knowing logic behind the parts themselves.
I’m getting #3 the Grove Starter Kit… I had bought an Arduino kit a few years ago but all the wires and components were overwhelming for my little brain; I think this one might work.

Can confirm I LOVE Elegoo, I bought 3 kits by them now and it’s all been crazy good quality, not a single issue. And I don’t think in the UK at least, you can beat them for the price, they’re the cheapest but also the best (once again in the UK in my exp)

GAR Colossus Starter Kit is just a bunch of parts you can buy from Aliexpress or others for half the price. Worst : NO documentation ! Useless product !
