The new Lenovo Chromebook Flex 5 13" has specs that are as good or better than your Acer pick. And at $409 is almost $100 less expensive.

  12. Alvin Z on June 23, 2020 at 7:17 pm

I’m expecting to buy a new laptop to replace my current, very underspeced one but I’m really torn between some options.

I have the Vivobook 14 (8th gen i3, 4 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD) right now. I’ll get either HP Envy 13 (2020 model), XPS 13, or something else.

I use a laptop for college works (an undergraduate computer engineering student), and want a great performing laptop that could last me long, has a great battery life, has great speakers, has a fingerprint scanner, and has a great display.

Do you guys have any opinions between them? Or do you have another options?

For those looking for a great budget laptop. Lenovo flex 5 seems amazing
Really good and detailed reviews by @codeHusky btw

As far as I know the Macbook Pro is the only laptop on the market that offers 4 usb c thunderbolt 3 ports which let you transfer at speeds up to 40Gbps. It might not be that useful now but having thunderbolt 3 will increase the lifespan of any computer.

the author clearly has a bias towards thin laptops, that wouldve been fine if the video was called best thin laptops so the title is a bit misleading

  25. sjzurek on June 23, 2020 at 7:36 pm

Never get a Dell with the silver keyboard. I suffered for half a year. Reflection from the screen make the keyboard unreadable. Juggling with backlight helps a little bit, but you will be frustrated. Chose black keyboard. Always!

  26. Seto Danu on June 23, 2020 at 7:37 pm

I am torn between dell 13 (2020) …. Asus expertbook 139450….and lenovo…yoga S740…..which one do you think is better for now

  27. Anandu Reghu on June 23, 2020 at 7:37 pm

    What about msi?

  28. MrShroombot on June 23, 2020 at 7:38 pm

That g14 cooks! And that response time! Ouchie! Don’t use the light on the keys.

  29. Obloms on June 23, 2020 at 7:42 pm

Inspiron 14 is great, however you make no mention that it can only be equipped with 8GB of RAM. XPS can go up to 32GB I believe, or at least 16GB (32GB might be XPS 15 or 17 feature). Since RAM is embedded on the motherboard, you can’t upgrade so if you want your laptop to last for a few years, 16GB is kind of a must now days.

Acer swift 3 😃 60k ₹ (650 $) is one of best on build quality and performance (with Amd ryzen 4500u) that beats i7-10th gen both ice lake and the comet lake by having 6 physical cores upto 4GHz along with 3200MHz fast RAM. I have a review on it its beast for all my heavy work on programming.

  33. Crazy misticalbeast on June 23, 2020 at 7:45 pm

  40. Mike Mckay on June 23, 2020 at 7:53 pm

The Zephyrus is poorly thought out and is DESIGNED to fail

The screen blocks the exhaust causing it to run MUCH hotter than it should and that heat is NOT going to help the lifespan of the screen flexible ribbon cables or other components in the screen section

Might seem good NOW, but most other laptops will outlast it by a country mile guaranteed

But I am sure its engineered to last until JUST after the warranty runs out…..

  47. Clouds on June 23, 2020 at 7:59 pm

asus zephyrus g14 would of been an immediate purchase if it wasnt for the 40ms response time on the screen causing ghosting.
