OLED picture quality continues to reign supreme and while the LG B9 isn’t cheap, it’s still the best value in a 2019 model.

I just saw that LG has released oled55b9S as 2019 model with 2020 release year. But what are the difference between last year B9 vs this year B9 S ?

  2. C. chelious on June 18, 2020 at 6:30 pm

Looks like my B6. Even the software and remote is the same. Stand is same color but missing the transparent back stand. Didn’t change much.

Came from a literally 8 years old TV to this one and I asked my new oled to marry me in the first night.

I’m going to be the elephant in the room and ask why are you not mentioning the panasonic oled models the Panasonic tc65fz950 blows the LG’s oled out of the water.

I’ve had quite a few Oled TVs since they first came out I’ve never had an issue with burn-in. Currently I have the LG 65 E8 and the Sony 55 A8F. I recently purchased a Samsung Qled as good as the picture is head on, I still have problems getting over the off angle viewing which is not good when compared to Oled perfection.

65 incher is $1,800 at best buy this weekend. 55 inch is 1,100

  16. PC Gamer on June 18, 2020 at 6:47 pm

I just bought the B9 55 inch for just $900 tax free and free shipping. An absolutely amazing deal. I can’t wait to test it out, especially now that it officially supports G-Sync and FreeSync. That’s a win-win for LG!

  17. Matt Pipke on June 18, 2020 at 6:51 pm

Better than the c9, I want the best gaming tv I can buy so far that looks like the C9, I can save $120 by buying the B9, is it worth the $120 savings, or should I stick with the C9?

  18. Stuka on June 18, 2020 at 6:53 pm

Hi, one question: Can the LG Oled B9 4K @ 120hz with HDR via HDMI 2.1 ?? … or can he "only" 4K @ 120hz without HDR?

  19. ThunderSprint on June 18, 2020 at 6:54 pm

This is not the best OLED for picture quality. That title belongs to C9 / E9. This review seems to be too focused on ‘value’.

  23. /Altezza on June 18, 2020 at 6:56 pm

How are both 10/10 if the B9 has noticable dim picture?

  24. jay zee on June 18, 2020 at 6:57 pm

Oled and qled are crap they both eventually burn into ur TV screen I owned a oled then went qled they do leave burn marks in the screen after a while of usage stick to led they are heaps better

  25. S MM on June 18, 2020 at 6:57 pm

FYI HBO is since recently also available

  26. John Tanner Jr on June 18, 2020 at 6:58 pm

does anyone know if you could put a soundbar on top of this tv (using a screen shelf stand)?

  27. Matt Romej on June 18, 2020 at 6:59 pm

How is the upscaling of 720p content? Specifically with American football and the motion/artifacts around players?

  28. Tay lor on June 18, 2020 at 7:00 pm

The difference in brightness and colour pop on an led is alot better than the oled though. Looks a little more dull in comparison. Deeper blacks or more brightness hmmm

got one 2 days ago. Very happy, and yes, this is the best value for screen / image quality.

  32. DrivingHawaii on June 18, 2020 at 7:03 pm

Is the screen glossy or matte?

  33. Douglas Heffernan on June 18, 2020 at 7:04 pm

I really dont know whether I should get the B9 or the C9 for gaming on ps4 pro

  36. Allostasis on June 18, 2020 at 7:10 pm

B9 is actually not cheaper than C9 in several countries. Ofc you go for C9 then.

Anyone want cheap TV, shouldn’t expect good and sharp images.

  40. TravionMusic on June 18, 2020 at 7:19 pm

Just got this tv, it’s amazing, you can’t go wrong with either tv (b9 or c9)

  41. Jørgen Andersen on June 18, 2020 at 7:20 pm

I just bought the LG 65 B9. I could get the C9 for the same price (Black week, Friday), but I chose the B9.
I had a usb stick with 4K recordings for testing on both TVs. On recordings with palm leaves, there was a lot of flicker on the C9, and very little on the B9. The picture on the B9 seemed quieter.

Is the C9 not a better option. I’m able to get it for £200 more. Is it worth the extra £200? Thanks

  47. steveothehulk on June 18, 2020 at 7:25 pm

    Sound quality?

  48. some Random Krunker guy on June 18, 2020 at 7:26 pm

Why did you compare a lcd Samsung tv to a lg oled display? And also Doesn’t matter what you say. But if you want the very best of the best in terms of display quality you gotta go with Samsung.

  50. Patrik Gårdewall on June 18, 2020 at 7:28 pm

Whats your reference here because all im seeing is greenish looking whites and grays in every scene.
thats nowhere near supreme picture quality.
    thats bad picture quality.
Another Pro calibrator that have lost it and forgot how an reference image looks like 😉
