Well, here is how it works: If you do NOT reply to them then they just run the judge and say: “He never replied to our lawsuit! We request summary judgement for XXXX dollars”, where XXXX is whatever number they make up as their “damages”. The judge grants summary judgement since you never showed up and then they have a lien for whatever dollar amount they made up. Now they take out liens on your bank account, and also run to Apple and Google to garnish your wages, so any money you make from your App goes to the trolls. So, ignoring it is the lowest-effort, most-profitable possible outcome for the troll: They just make up any damages they want, receive summary judgement, and then take out a lien on your bank account and any income stream that you have. It’s called garnishing wages.
Now on to the description: The corruption runs deeper than you’d ever imagine. A multi-billion dollar industry you’ve never heard of. This is the world Patent Trolls thrive in: A world created for them by our own U. S. Patent system. You can be sued for clicking on a hyperlink, using your own scanner, or sharing your Wi-Fi! Winning a lawsuit doesn’t just provide the justification for these patent troll companies to go after other companies, it gives them the resources to continue their activities. Any company that caves is just making the problem worse. I’ve heard that the patent office does no vetting of patents and has decided to let the courts sort things out. That is a problem. It seems like large companies that are actually creating technology products needs to file blocker patents so their technology can be used by others. Had Google filed a similar patent as Uniloc then Google could delegitimize the Uniloc patent and Uniloc wouldn’t be able to go after all of the other companies. I wouldn’t be surprised if some foreign criminal organization masking themselves as a government (China) is bankrolling these patent troll companies.

It’s all about scams and money, always follow the money. I hope your video gets millions of viewers and those corrupt “attorney’s” and judges put out of business or better yet jailed and forced to pay back every single person they sued.
This got me really pissed. I almost said, "thanks God I am a European". But unfortunately US lawyers are trying to extend the flawed US laws even to Europe, and often they manage to.
If US patent offices are managed by fools, it will eventually damage US inventors and US inventions. In fact, it will damage all inventions from the free world. The Chinese, who don’t give a shit about immaterial rights, are laughing all the way to the bank.

the solution is to hide your money and don’t pay them even if they got a "judgement" against you…. simply create a shell for your company the way that they do so that if they try to collect there’s nothing there since you’ve already taken all the money

the reason patent system can be exploited is because of greed.
People try to OWN ideas, and now they feel entitled to their ideas and its very hard to fix.
in distanced past, stealing ideas were very common and acceptable. people used to keep innovating to improve on the current ideas so they didnt get left behind.
now they just sit on top of their patents and use the system to either exploit or take their time to innovate due the protection that the stupid system gives.

A former employer was sued in the US for patent infringement, but they had no presence in the US. We only heard about it after a default judgement against us (how is that possible without the defendant even getting notified he’s being sued) was entered and the troll tried to collect. Instead of an expensive fight in the US, where we had no assets anyway, we got a judge in the EU to find the judgement unenforcable. Never heard from the troll again; possibly they are still trying to collect. Since the company, that I’ve since left, still does not operate outside of the EU they are still barred from collecting.
Since then my own software is only available (for free) from me if you enter an EU country of residence on the download page. Everyone else can enter their country but will not go to the download but a page stating that software is only available in the EU. If you choose to obtain it in the EU (by lying or through a third party) and export it outside the EU you are responsible for getting a license to any and all possible patents applicable outside the EU. Doesn’t stop anyone from suing me in the US, but if they do it’s very cheap to get an injunction against enforcement in the EU, where all my assets are. I wish them luck.
The company of course can’t operate in the US now and if I get sued I will probably have to avoid visiting the US. But look at the country, that’s a blessing in disguise.
Now you know. Sounds like racketeering, conspiracy, intent to financially bourbon, bully & the lawyer’s, judge’s are in on the scam. Maybe you should set up a fund we can donate to so you can hire PI’s/lawyers to expose them in a court.

If you are truly making something for humanity , out of creative joy and love, then God will protect you , your intellectual property, etc.. However, if you are caught up in the rat race, other rats will always try to eat your cheese!!! As a lion, a true son of God, if anyone were to steal my idea, I have full rights to execute you by divine law. Don’t think for a second that we meek (those with true power and authority who choose to use it as a last resort) won’t deliver this true justice. Unfortunatley in todays world, you have to be willing to kill for really good inventions that will help the earth and humanity.
