Boy I wish that was the kind of messes we had over in my area. At least you can still see the ground there 🤣

This describes my friend at the you pull it yard. The dude doesn’t give a chit about anything.

His preferred tool of choice is a 2lb mini steel mallet to get stuff out of the way. He also loved rupturing a/c lines and watching them spew…. This was 15 years or so ago, but I am like damn dude.

    Very well said 👍🏻

Is this in ABQ? Also I agree, but if I take the seat belt out of a car it’s so I can’t hoist the engine out of the car and get it into my truck safely

2:00 I’d rather have the parts in the walkway then the people who throw them in the interior.

  10. Joe Parham on December 22, 2021 at 9:49 pm

Great video dude! I’m going to pull a part today!

  11. Капитан Ясенпень on December 22, 2021 at 9:49 pm

I bad understand English well because I am from Russia. but I would rip out the eggs of those who do this to machines. this car could provide more spare parts.

  12. Simon Rosell on December 22, 2021 at 9:50 pm

Isnt most of the broken windows one of the reason the cars came there?

  13. tvaughn on December 22, 2021 at 9:51 pm

Should I buy a car from a wrecking yard? It’s a 2001 Prius with no catalytic converter. That say it runs and drives great but just will need catalytic converter down the road.

  19. Brenton Nick on December 22, 2021 at 9:57 pm

Man everything you said is so true. My buddy and I were just there last friday. Some guys just don’t care. Thanks for your video.

One extra thing I learned today. Keep an eye out for drug paraphernalia. The car I pulled parts from had used needles in the foot well and between the seats. Could have gotten stuck if I hadn’t looked first.

  21. Cirbo Fishing and outdoors. on December 22, 2021 at 10:01 pm

I work at one and I understand this guy . Yet don’t assume broken glass is because of a customer.. the cars have to be cleaned out before they hit the lot for customers. We try our best to not damage anything but we do get cars in that are fully locked. And only way to keep customers safe from hazardous trash such as needles and other things that come off the street with the cars we have to gain entry.. the cars come from impound and many other places and sometimes fully locked. We also do yard clean up so I agree with you on keep the parts with the cars.. put what you don’t want in the trunk even.. also we do try to keep up the best we can to keep walkways clear but like you said.. many don’t care.. so when we find a tail light like you found it may not have been a customer it may have been us cleaning up and putting the found parts in the trunk or in the next days cars to be crushed.. we try our best to clean and look out for our customers… But ultimately.. if the junkyard isn’t what you were expecting.. then go pay the new price for parts… We absolutely want to give you a great substitute for the premium parts at a amazing rate!! Think about it . Car was in an unfortunate rear end collision… Was a 2012 ran great when the accident happened.. everything on the front of that car is perfect!! But insurance totaled the car cause the accident hardly touched the frame.. any contact with the frame they have to total the car . Insurance adjusters job.. so everything else is perfectly fine to use.. some even buy salvage titles on Minor cars outside of when they come to us.. we provide a service of way under part stores prices.. so ultimately.. be considerate to others.. help keep your work clean… You don’t need the part.. put it in the trunk or back seat.. I don’t have the time to put a found tail light into the correct make and model.. great video though buddy!!

Very cool video man I agree with ya

  24. Bob Bish on December 22, 2021 at 10:09 pm

Every yard in America should play your video on an endless loop. Everything you mentioned ticks me off as well. And a tip about breaking stuff. Use the donor car as a teaching tool. If you figure out how to take something apart instead of breaking it, not only did you learn something, you can now apply that knowledge to your own vehicle.

  25. suppressor808 on December 22, 2021 at 10:09 pm

The way he said each one of these… I’ve personally felt the same way he’s saying it.

  26. Yahoo on December 22, 2021 at 10:14 pm

    There were only two things.
    1) Bring the tools you need and don’t ask or expect to borrow tools from others
    2) Be considerate and don’t break shit. (Said 4 different ways.)

I found your YT channel again sir. I had broken my phone and lost a lot off stuff. Had to sub again. And Thank you man, your video on a Volvo 850 helped me out a lot. It was my Mom’s station wagon. Your info was valuable. God bless you. Matthew Chapter 24/ John 3:16.

People seem to have no sense of common courtesy anymore. Thank you for making this video.

  32. Bitemyshinny Metalass on December 22, 2021 at 10:20 pm

I’ve encountered all 5 cardinal sins everytime I spent my time at the local Pick N Pull. I’ve also broke 4 of the cardinal sins except breaking the glass. People breaking the glass and damaging the parts you need are the most annoying things that I’ve encountered at the salvage yard. There’s only been a few times where someone have asked to borrow my tools to remove a part. Glad someone is talking about this. 👍

  33. Matt Jones on December 22, 2021 at 10:21 pm

I’m going to use this as a customer orientation video at the yard I work for. 😂

  34. Sylvester Furtak on December 22, 2021 at 10:21 pm

Thank you Robert for this video. This shows very well how some North American people mainly US and Canada thinks and behave. These people "can’t eat a cake and they don’t want others to have a slice of it". They don’t think that this junk yard have to also make some money to operate and pay their employees for their work so these idiots can get some parts for their cars at discounted prices. It is very sad to watch that.

  35. Snap-off on December 22, 2021 at 10:21 pm

The car I took from today’s glass was obviously broken when they stuck a forklift through them and lifted it by its roof. Just be intelligent about your destructiveness, of course if its already toast then breaking it more is no sin, and nobody is coming to the salvage yard to buy a decaying straight hose of any kind. I spent the time to remove 4 hard to reach heater hose core attachments to save the split heater hoses and vacuum shutoff for someone else. I fill the glovebox, console, door cubbies, trunk, floors, dash, then seats in that order skipping any one of those that is thrashed already to the front of the list. Of course I treat those cars as though I may need to come back to it and get another part some day, and everyone else should too. You don’t know you won’t need that vacuum harness, or wiring harness someday. I’d like to tell that to the salvage yard who decided to put the rims sideways and rest the car on its rear swaybar instead of the frame too. It was bent like a strongman’s barbell holding the whole car up. #InstantSub

"why would you shatter the wind shield..?

Uhh that vehicle was in a accident before going to the junk… Nvm 😑

  37. Barry Koch on December 22, 2021 at 10:24 pm

Robert is on point, and his Volvo videos are awesome. The expert.

  38. RedBrainSleven on December 22, 2021 at 10:25 pm

This man is complaining about a dirty junk yard. You want people to put timing belts back on. Complain about seats in the open area then proceed to tip them over and don’t bother to move them yourself.

    You sound like a girl.

  39. robin vail on December 22, 2021 at 10:25 pm

We who watch this are the same. It falls on def ears

  40. Nose_Art_Guy on December 22, 2021 at 10:26 pm

AMEN!!!!! Blows me bc away that people leave such a mess. Put it in the the trunk or underneath….ideally not inside in the seats. Picked some leather seats a while back. Near perfect….except for where two pointy corners from a interior door card had been leaning on the rear seat back for a long time. Not ripped but well dented.

  41. likuidrano on December 22, 2021 at 10:26 pm

Man I love Albuquerque u pull aside from people doing what you just described but sometimes there’s cool dudes there who offer help.

  42. Draw4Reel on December 22, 2021 at 10:27 pm

Went to the junk yard today. I was looking in the trunk looking for a cover for the scissor jack housing . It was under the spare tire. I threw the spare tire on the ground and the cover was all full of grease. I cleaned the grease off by wiping it on one of the interior cloth seats. Sorry for both violations. 😔

Goodwill hunter at the junkyard! We need good people like this lovely man all around the world…

  44. theOrchestra on December 22, 2021 at 10:29 pm

I like your style, Robert. Thanks so much for these helpful videos.

  45. rob on December 22, 2021 at 10:30 pm

Hey Robert, I wanted to know if there is people you can pay to remove parts. I am inexperienced and need parts like a windshield, but don’t want to destroy everything in removing the parts.

  46. Rick Prusak on December 22, 2021 at 10:32 pm

I hate guts that just bring a pair of pliers to take off a fender. Then they have the nerve to ask you if they can borrow your 145 piece socket set. Then walk out of the junkyard with your tools saying it was their tools.

  47. Aand R on December 22, 2021 at 10:32 pm

Day I kicked some ass hat out my yard for for planting his foot firmly on a mint 40 yr old yota truck door and caving it in while trying rip the mirror off was last day I let anyone "browse" the yard

  48. Bob Bish on December 22, 2021 at 10:33 pm

And – why do people have to take the owners manuals out of the glove box and toss them on the ground or on the floor or on the dash? It’s hard enough finding manuals, and when you do, they are usually water and/or sun-damaged, rendering them useless. If you find a manual and you don’t need it, leave it in the glove box for the next guy. Thank you.
