However technically the human brain is hardware accelerated in a number of areas that computers cannot handle yet like your creative thinking and knowledge for example! However these more complex operations could possibly be simulated with virtual neural networks in computers in the near future especially if we develop processors that are specifically designed to run neural networks! So we would pretty much need a 20 petaflop supercomputer if we want to fully simulate an average human brain! 🙂
