there is one way i got out of a ticket that nobody is going to believe. at the time i drove a chevy cargo van. the ticket i received stated that the vehicle was a station wagon. this was back in the early 90’s so station wagons were still popular. when i went to court i asked the judge that if there was a mistake on the ticket was it no longer a sworn statement? he said yes, so i handed him both the ticket and my registration. after that i pointed out the difference between the ticket and the registration. i asked that the ticket be rendered inadmissible and the case dismissed due to lack of evidence. after several minutes of looking back and forth between me and the paperwork in his hands, the judge finally agreed with me. i got my paperwork back, thanked the judge and walked out before he could change his mind.
I just received a notice in the mail about a ticket from 8 years ago. They are saying I didn’t pay it. Well if I didn’t pay the ticket, than why wasn’t my license suspended? This city is 3 hours away from me.

I’m trying to turn left from the middle turn lane. Someone coming from the opposite direction also pulls into the turn lane to turn left. That person causes a stand off. We can’t see past each other. That person refuses to move. I look around as best I can past that person. It’s a 35 mph road. For as far as I can see, I think I’m safe. I am not safe. I get struck on the right side by another vehicle. Car totalled. Asshole who caused the standoff drives off.
Cops show up and issue me a ticket. Says he has to because public property was damaged. There weren’t even skid marks on the road. Only my vehicle and the other vehicle involved were damaged. All of the debris was from our vehicles.
On the ticket is says for failure to yield right of way.
I have little hope of beating this ticket. The same Police Department had officers stalking and harassing me while I was homeless and living in my car 5 years ago.
Please. Someone explain to me how this ticket or rather tickets for accidents in general are simply not predatory policing for profit, for the sake of generating revenue for the City, county, or state?
What? Is this ticket meant to teach me a lesson for having a bad day?
Silly me. I shouldn’t have decided to total my car that day. What was I thinking?

So I got pulled over twice for unregistered vehicle. The car wasn’t mine, it was my moms ex boyfriend, he unregistered the car because he wanted to give the car to my mom but he didn’t tell me he actually unregistered the car so I’ve been driving it while it wasn’t registered. First time I got pulled over I was charged with 1- unregistered car 2- not having my lights on at night 3- expired inspection. They gave me the ticket and I chose guilty… my court date is towards the end of may. Then I got pulled over again for the same thing but he only charged me for unregistered car. That court hearing is in April which I’ve already responded guilty to and I was able to get the car registered so I can go to court and prove it and hopefully get it dismissed. I was so scared that I was going to get arrested or something since I got pulled over twice because of what I read online, really scared me😭. After watching this video I am confident and optimistic about these hearings and hope all goes well…wish me luck

You forgot to mention this is only IF you are not guilty. Even a slight error in the ticket, as you mentioned, won’t matter and won’t be grounds for dismissal if a camera or picture has all the necessary proof to make up for human error. The judge will still ask if all the other details are correct.
If the officer doesn’t show up they just extend the hearing. At least that’s what they do in my area
