I have a Windows 10 notebook that was given to me because my laptop went out and I bought a CD ROM so I can do my taxes the windows 10 it’s not acknowledging it I don’t know what to do I don’t know computers very well

I use a fairly new laptop. It does not have a CD drive built in so I bought one similar to the one in this vid . I was quite surprised to see that as soon as I put a music CD in Windows Media Player popped up with the option to rip there! Naughty Microsoft !
I have a w10 and bought an external DVD drive. I’m still trying to get them to acknowledge each other. I also have an ‘older’ laptop with the internal DVD drive, but it’s an Ebay purchase that is gnashing me in the glutes.
I miss win7! Oh wait! My boat anchor is win7 and my dusty ‘old’ laptop is XP! Yeah, I’m multi-Windows illiterate!

Is is true what people say, that people don’t use dvds anymore? If so, then I think that it should be brung back since it is much easier than having to go online and go on a paid trial to watch it.

Wow thank you for this demo was wonder how it worked because I am want to download some music also CDs I have and my grandkids a laughing oh my God you still get CDs you don’t have MP3 player I do I got about five Don’t know how to use it so now I can see how easy it is so now I have to watch your video on how to get the music into the MP3 player grandkids keep saying I’m a come show you show you They never do
