What Happened To Dell?
Since its 1984 launch in Michael Dell’s dorm , Dell has evolved from a PC maker to a $90 billion in revenue and services in storage, servers, cloud infrastructure and data security. Since then, CEO, Michael Dell has taken his company public, private and then public again as it tried to keep up with changing consumer and business customer needs.
Dell’s first IPO happened in 1988 when “Dell Computer Corp.” went public at $8.50 a share with a market capitalization of $85 million. In 1992, Michael Dell became the youngest Fortune 500 CEO at 27. By 2001, Dell had overtaken Compaq as the world’s largest PC maker.
But by 2013, demand for PCs stalled as tablets and smartphones became more popular. Later that year, Michael Dell took the company private. In 2015, Dell purchased data storage company EMC, a deal that still stands as the largest technology acquisition of all time. In 2018, Dell returned to the public markets as Dell Technologies.

They delleted themselves.
I built my own but back in 2007 I did have a dell desktop.
DO NOT BUY DELL LAPTOP AND PC.

A lot of people who work in Tech are simply working to put themselves out of a job, which is why I told a kid in stem, that since he already had an interest in the field, to become an auto mechanic instead programmer. when I saw him months later he said he dropped stem and enrolled in auto technician school.

It is my first computer Dell Inspiron 1525
I don’t think anything is wrong with them lol I just bought a monitor last week. Still the best monitor brand on the market, always has been.
Dell has been the worst laptop service I have ever dealt with. On one windows lock out I spent 24 phone calls with at lease five transfers each time I had to give my information again and again and explain my problem again. To add to this every support is overseas and a lot are hard to understand. So ten email later and some help from Dell I was locked out of Bios and then my Hard drive was fried. I tried to pay for tect support and couldn’t even get Dell to do that right. I paid for it was given a purchase # only to find it was cancelled by someone. So in a hate filled email I sent to a email that was for Michael Dell I receive a phone call from a support supervisor. Once telling him my fifteen day story with a total of 24 calls and 15 emails I was not happy with Dell. This man sent tect people to my home to work on my laptop. They were shocked at what they saw. My laptop was sent to Dell four months before this and had it refurbished. The tects stated the work was so bad that they could not believe it. Parts missing, parts put in wrong. I ended up with a new battery, hard drive, AC power plug, AC power cord, motherboard. And still had to load windows 10 back to my laptop. All of this just for a lock out of windows telling to contact Dell for password. Just letting people know what can happen with Dell.

The problem with Dell is Microsoft. I’ll not use Microsoft except at work which is not my choice.
Dell XPS laptops are considered the best windows/intel laptop you can get as of 2021. Their Alienware gaming PCs, are one of the most expensive and premium machines in the gaming PC market.
