We also support small businesses buy selling in bulk truckloads to appliance dealers in rural areas….creating jobs.Any unrepairable ones will be stripped of all working parts that will be used to explain how they work, them either used to repair used appliances, or sold as used parts. Any old carcasses will then be sent to metal recycling centers..
As far as donations go, we have donated such used items to several local charities, such as women’s shelters, youth baseball teams, churches and groups such as AA.

BTW…Even if you would rather make a donation to someone besides our group, call around and ask your favorite charity. Though most charities do not all you to anything is better than occupying space at the local dump or junk yards!
IF THEY ARE WORKING, the Salvation Army will send a moving crew over in most cities. (Though an appliance pro may be more prompt since he can get them reconditioned and cleaned up for resale)
